The PGL Quake Champions Open showcased amazing talent from the world’s best Quakers, but only one winner – rapha of Team Liquid – could be crowned the winner and take home the grand prize.
Held in Bucharest, Romania, the Open featured over 50 competitors from across the globe competing for a piece of the $50,000 action in Quake Champions’ Duel format. The weekend-long tournament concluded in a final battle between Anton "COOLLER" Singov representing AMD and Shane "rapha" Hendrixson of Team Liquid.
COOLLER and rapha, no strangers to Dueling at LAN events in the past, ended their bout at the PGL Open with a 3-1 victory for rapha. This marked rapha’s first major win at a Quake Champions Duel tournament, earning the American e-athlete from Team Liquid $20,000 and the PGL championship trophy, with COOLLER of Russia taking home $10,000 for second place.
